Leads and manages engineering activities supporting the portfolio of new and existing pipeline integrity (in-line inspection) products and services. Approaches responsibilities in accordance with corporate policies and strategic goals and exemplifying TDW behaviors. Collaborates closely with product management, sales, and manufacturing/supply chain organizations.
Participates in the development of the company’s vision and strategic goals in collaboration with the sales regions, operations, marketing, other engineering teams, and support functions
Together with product management drives product innovation through the development of new and refine existing technologies delivering unique customer value and sustainable business
Owner of NextGate development process for pipeline integrity engineering
Directs and oversees engineering R&D and capital budgets for large-scale integrity development projects
Responsible integrity engineering design quality
Ensures that integrity engineering consistently deliver the highest standards of technical excellence, by creating technical standards, codes, and industry best practices. Promotes a culture of quality and safety
Exhibits broad market thought-leadership with customers, academia, and industry associations through active speaking engagements at conferences and by publishing papers in trade journals
Works closely with product management teams to ensure TDW brings the highest-valued solutions of integrity products and services to market
Ensures cost optimization of designs to lower the engineering, production, and operational cost of integrity products and services
Coordinates Intellectual Property issues with Legal department to ensure proper protection; Responsible for the integrity and pigging Intellectual Property strategy and execution
Selects, evaluates, motivates and develops employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet company objectives while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action or foreign employment guidelines as applicable,
Sets personal objectives, provides fair and constructive feedback, assesses accurately employee performance, training needs, areas for improvement and possibility of future growth within the organization, and ensures training & development needs are addressed.
Bachelor’s degree required (Business and/or Engineering). Advanced degree, MBA or MS in engineering discipline (preferred).
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience working in a technical/engineering environment.
Minimum of 5 years in Senior Leadership role managing other managers.
Direct knowledge of pipeline integrity (in-line inspection) technology and tools. (preferred).
Demonstrated cross-functional project management skills
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communications skills
Knowledge of pipeline field operations and other field disciplines.
