Risk Management Analyst (Entry-Level)

A Financial firm located in the heart of Salt Lake City is looking for a professional individual with an interest in working on a global team that strives to protect the firm from potential risk factors.
In this role you will be required to have daily interaction with many areas of the firm including traders and clients, legal, compliance and more, offering a unique opportunity to gain a broad perspective on the activities of the firm.
Primary Responsibilities
Review and analyze transactional activity; fund transfers, trades, etc.
Work on a number of Ad-hoc projects based on news events, mergers, acquisitions, etc.
Able to develop and share ideas based on data manipulation findings
Research and compile information and documents from numerous sources
Leverage risk management skills to identify controls for process improvements
Forge strong relationships with internal departments
Strong analytical and risk assessment skills; good sound judgement
Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills (Pivot tables, experience with large data sets, proficient in data manipulation and presentation)
Prior experience in research, law, relevant finance a plus
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong attention to detail
Manage tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task is crucial
Organization and time management skills
Motivated team player
