TITLE: Product Manager
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Relocation to Salt Lake City, UT is expected and will be considered on a case by case basis.
We are currently seeking a Product Manager to support a variety of products in our portfolio. The successful candidate will develop a product strategy across the organization while working closely with program management, engineering, operations and finance. The candidate will also identify and align markets that complement our business. The candidate will be responsible for identifying the product positioning, setting pricing, fulfilling forecasts and executing product promotion. Other duties as assigned.
The Product Manager is responsible to plan for and manage the Entire Product Lifecycle, which includes, among others, the following work efforts:
Interface with customers to understand Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Use Cases, and overall customer requirements and ‘desirements’ turning those into product requirements for engineering
Direct the work of employees assigned to the product team from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
Provide leadership of the core product team to establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, validation, manufacture, integration and test activities
Represent the voice of the customer within the plant
Create roadmaps, market landscapes, and competitive landscape analysis
Determine value-based product pricing based on market and competitive environment
Achieve targets on financial contribution margin for each product
Create a long term vision to develop new business in existing markets or expand the product line to new markets
Promote products through creating marketing material, launch plans, and various other sales tools to support internal and external customers
Must have experience taking very technical, engineer level information, conversations, and concepts and adapting it to non-engineer individuals and teams.
Must have hands on experience creating and making professional presentations to Executive Level Teams, Engineering Teams, Business Development Teams, and Vendor Teams. Both internal and external.
Bachelors degree and 4 years of professional experience (experience can be prior to degree, i.e. military service)
4 years DoD or Military Project/ Product/ Program management experience
4 years experience and understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) communications, military preferred.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Hands on experience and knowledge using L3, Harris, and L3Harris Technologies products, is very desired
Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain a Security Clearance. Non-expired Security Clearance, highly preferred.
Background in DoD environment preferred; familiarity with Military User community a major plus.
