Zions Bancorporation seeks an experienced Salesforce Agile ProductOwner to work closely with teammates and stakeholders to provideoversight for delivery of key features and functionality for thedigital initiative.

The Product Owner (PO) is a Salesforce subject matter expert (SME) whois a part of an agile team, serving as the customer proxy and is responsiblefor working with product management and other stakeholders. The PO will provideteam support in an agile environment while defining stories and prioritizingthe Team Backlog. The PO will play a significant role in the focus of the agileteam and will accept stories as completed. He or she will work in a dynamicteam environment to effectively meet Company milestones for new and existingproducts.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Represent vision and customer needsto the team, answering questions and facilitating conversations needed toget the work done.

  • Provide context for, prioritize andaccept the work demoed by the agile team, specifically ensuring the right valueis delivered.

  • Create, own and manage the Salesforcebacklog, constantly collaborating with Product Managers and the teamto ensure business and functional items are refined and prioritized.

  • Continuously engage with the business,technology and other key stakeholders to stay informed, nurturing strong andtrusting relationships and increasing business knowledge to represent productvision, which includes technical enablers and managing technical debt.

  • Continuously build Salesforce knowledge andstay updated on upcoming releases

  • Gather, review, analyze, validate, evaluateand map business systems, processes, and user requirements.

  • Conduct tests or test planningsessions, provide input for feasibility, and prepare userdocumentation and follow-up evaluation.

  • Involvement in preparation and execution ofPI planning including drafting objectives and story definition

  • Exemplify agile principles, encouragesgood practices, encourages and assists team in maturing.

  • Help identify organizational impediments andworks with the leadership team to create effective strategies to overcomethem.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years of combined experience in productmanagement, product development, software development and/or productsupport with the Salesforce Platform

  • Working knowledge of the agile frameworks& scaling models, including iteration planning, backlog refinement, dailystand ups, iteration reviews and system demos, iteration retrospectives, PIPlanning, Demos, Inspect & Adapt Workshops, Scrum-of-Scrums, PO Sync andART Sync

  • Experience contributing to the strategiccreation of products, accelerating value delivery to customers, working withcross-functional teams, employing innovative mindsets & practices toproduct development (design-thinking, lean startup approach, MVP, rapidprototyping, frequent feedback cycles, customer centricity).

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer orbusiness-related discipline (Computer Science, Computer engineering,Information Systems, Business Administration or Management, etc.) or BusinessAnalyst experience working in the financial services industry supporting digitalinitiatives

  • Presentation, facilitation and interpersonalskills

  • Strong planning, problem resolution,listening and team building skills

  • Mindful of the user experience –always looking for ways to make the product better

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)certification or experience as a product owner in a Scaled Agile Framework(SAFe)

  • Ability to create elegant, simplistic designswhile also accommodating the complex, technical ‘stuff’ going on in thebackground.

A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.

FIRST 12 MONTH OBJECTIVES

  • Partner with project team to refine user storyrequirements for offshore development team

  • Contain scope of current project MVP

  • Assist with building future backlog androadmap

  • Support establishing strong agile practices forfuture internal development

  • Includingtransitioning product from 3rdparty implementation teams tointernal support and development teams

  • Participatein establishing agile operating model and maturing team skills around agilepractices
