Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Manager 2 - Business Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected individual will report to the Director of Business Management for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Division and will be responsible for the business management operations for the ICBM Sustainment Business Unit. The Manager 2 - Business Management will lead a team of program control analysts, financial analysts, and planning and scheduling analysts. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in developing and motivating staff in a team environment with excellent interpersonal, planning, presentation and organizational skills.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing and developing a team of business management analysts to drive innovation, efficiencies across all business management disciplines.

  • Responsibility for performance reviews, personnel development, and mentoring the team.

  • Leading the monthly Financial Reporting and Forecasting process and generation of the BU AOP/LRSP.

  • Leading the business management aspects of proposals with significant interface with contracts and pricing personnel.

  • Overseeing the implementation and execution of a compliant EVMS system that satisfies customer, program, and compliance requirements.

  • Leading the performance and analysis of contract status and progress to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost and schedule control guidelines.

  • Overseeing the preparation of Financial EAC's on a quarterly basis and ensure.

  • Leading Business Unit compliance and assurance activities to include interfacing with External and Internal assurance functions on the topics of business system, financial reporting, and SOX compliance.

  • Leading and ensuring successful completion of required Integrated Baseline Reviews for new awards in the Business Unit.

  • Developing schedule analytics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 5+ years of combined experience in any of the following: Business Management, Finance or Accounting.

  • Experience working within a compliant Earned Value Management System (EVMS) environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience in financial planning and reporting.

  • Experience with using and teaching the use of SAP/BW, COBRA, MPM, Oracle Primavera, MS Project, and/or wInsight.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a Business or technical discipline with 5+ years' experience within the aerospace/defense industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing overhead rates and budgets.

  • Prior management experience.

  • Ability to thrive in schedule-sensitive and change-intensive environments.

  • Demonstrated leadership, with excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite.
