Oracle Sr. Business Analyst - Support Renewal Analytics in Ogden, Utah
Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.
Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Seeking a seasoned business analyst to join Oracle’s Communications Global Business Unit (CGBU) Global Operations team to expand its focus on annual support financials. The successful candidate will collaborate with CGBU Sales, Product, and Operations teams to develop, implement, and manage programs forecasting revenue, cancellation risk and reduction, product lifecycle planning, and other related activities. They also will work with the GBU Support Analytics team to maintain consistent alignment with Global Support Finance and Global Support Renewals. The primary objective of this role is to ensure CGBU understands its forecast for Support revenue (and cancellations) and manage the ongoing support revenue stream.
Summary of Responsibilities
This role will focus exclusively on support, with emphasis on the financial impacts of support renewals and CGBU product decisions on the future support financial revenue stream.
Lead programs to mitigate risk to future support renewals
Ensure program optimization for the various support rate offerings that exist for CGBU
Act as primary point of contact with the GBU Support Analytics team, receiving their regular financial reporting and collaborating to put new risk mitigation strategies into action
Participate as an active voice in the CGBU PAC/Lifecycle management process with a focus on anticipating future support impacts resulting from product roadmap decisions
CGBU Leadership reporting on performance metrics
Maintain timelines and project plans
Other duties as assigned
Be a self-starter and able to thrive as an individual contributor in a team environment
Strong IT/Desktop skills is a must, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with SW support; Understanding of Oracle’s Support policies is not required, but is a plus

Able to balance multiple initiatives in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Have the ability to collaborate with multiple groups globally to obtain information in order to provide accurate and timely commercial responses
Meticulous attention to detail and professional appearance of work is essential
