Lead the development and implementation of sales, marketing and distribution strategies for the Suunto Dive Business Unit in the North Americas market in collaboration with dive distributors. Lead the development and execution of Go-to-Market strategies for sales, distribution and branding of Suunto Dive computers and instruments. Lead the execution of marketing actions in the dive market through in-store, digital marketing, public relations, dive centers, dive schools, communities, and test events aimed to build brand awareness. Establish and ensure the achievement of key performance indicators for market share, distribution, customer satisfaction and sales. Build and manage working and collaborative relationships with distributors. Manage the distribution build up and in-store execution at dealer sites. Provide product training to local distributors. Manage price and profit and loss (P&L) strategy in conjunction with the parent company, Suunto Oy. Provide after sales support and product training to the local distributors. Provide product support to Amer Sports Group Direct to Consumer Sales Channels. Analyze current market conditions and create business plans for new product development according to regional needs. Represent Suunto at local dive equipment test and dealer events.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business or a related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in a related sales position within the outdoor sporting goods industry. Alternate Requirement: Four (4) years of experience in a related sales position within the outdoor sporting goods industry. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Work experience must have included: Two (2) years of experience developing multi-channel sales strategy for the diving industry; experience managing customer sales accounts; experience providing demonstrations for diving product launches; and knowledge of dive algorithms. Must have PADI Dive Master or equivalent professional dive experience. Must have Technical Diving Qualifications with a minimum of Tec 40 Closed Circuit Rebreather. Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time.
