As a Business Analyst you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Collaborate with representatives across the organization to define standard processes within our data analytics processes and data warehousing environment
Work with subject matter experts, define business requirements, business rules, and produce documentation that is client facing as well as technical documentation used by developers.
Translate the business requirements and documenting business rules into source to target data mappings.
Validate results from development for implementation of business rules and business requirements.
Perform data analysis and review business rules with the business stakeholders to refine requirements that will be mapped for ETL developers.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of eleven (11) of experience in Healthcare Information Technology in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement
Seven (7) years of experience working in the Healthcare industry
Knowledge in healthcare quality reports, claim analytics, billing, member eligibility and provider data.
Six (6) years of experience performing requirements gathering and analysis
Five (5) years in an analyst role documenting business rules and source to target mapping
Three (3) years of experience in writing SQL queries for large data warehouses
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience working with both ETL, BI architects, and report developers to communicate data mappings
Knowledge of relationships between health plans and providers, including
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Environment
Work as a member of an agile development organization
detailed understanding of health plan and provider organization claims data
Ability to work independently in a matrixed environment while managing multiple deadlines simultaneously
Experience consolidating data from disparate systems is preferred
Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence terminology
Familiarity with AWS technologies
Location: 3M HIS Office Location or Remote
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic (Occasional travel may be required)
