Fortive Corporation Site Leader / Operations Manager in American Fork, Utah

Keep reading as Fluke is looking for a Site Leader / Operations Manager to join our Temperature Calibration (TCAL) factory, at our manufacturing facility in American Fork, UT

Provide Site Leadership for multiple business functions and drive the planning and execution for our Operations team which includes manufacturing, production control, manufacturing engineering, inventory control and materials.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop a high performing team in a culture of excellence and innovation.

  • Provide Site leadership of the American Fork facility including integration with the Business Unit, Sales, Service, Engineering and Operations teams.

  • Drive Environmental Health and Safety Compliance and continuous improvement.

  • Business liaison to Fluke / Fortive including company communications, and tie to Fortive Vision/Mission/Values.

  • Responsible for business compliance to government regulations.

  • Adherence to Fortive Standards of Conduct throughout all business practices to ensure a culture of integrity and engagement.

  • Ownership of site-wide employee engagement activities and action plan.

  • Leadership of Continuous Improvement through rigorous application of FBS in all aspects of the business.

  • Development of talent including Performance for Growth, Succession Planning, lean, technical, efficiency, safety and adherence to processes and procedures.

  • Define goals, improve technologies, and resolve problems in conjunction with managers across the organization aligned with our KPIs of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.

  • Translate customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products.

  • Develop & deploy operations-related plans, budgets, policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for determining the need for labor, space, materials and capital equipment and provide cost analysis to determine Return on Investment.

  • Direct factory labor including Team Leads, Operators, and Material Handlers.

  • Review performance of assigned employees, completing appraisals and recommending appropriate status changes and/or salary increases.

  • May require occasional travel, extended hours, and on-call duty.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

• Minimum of 8+ years of related experience.

• 5+ years of management experience.

• Demonstrated leadership and results utilizing a Lean / Kaizen / Continuous Improvement approach.

• Proven track record of leading cross functional teams.

• Exceptional communication (verbal and written) for varying levels of leadership.

• Demonstrated problem solving skills and outside of the box thinking.

• Ability to identify strategic opportunities and develop, implement and sustain changes to deliver year over year improvements to quality, delivery and cost.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical or Engineering background.

• Experience in ISO 9001 or ISO 17025 a plus.

• Inventory management and Distribution Center experience.
